What exactly is "Specialty Coffee"? It’s not just a marketing buzzword - it’s a grade. To be classified as "Specialty," coffee must score 80 points or above on a 100-point scale by certified coffee tasters (Q Graders). For Capsulero, this means we only source coffee that matches these high criteria. Unlike standard supermarket capsules that often use "commodity" grade coffee (which can taste burnt or flat), our capsules and pods deliver distinct flavor notes—like fruit, chocolate, or florals—inherent to the bean itself.

Yes. All the capsules that we sell are designed to be fully compatible with all Nespresso® OriginalLine machines (the classic smaller machines). They are precision-engineered to ensure a smooth extraction and a rich crema and taste, just like the pods you are used to - but with much better coffee inside.(Note: These are not compatible with the Vertuo line).

We believe convenience shouldn't cost the Earth. Most of our Capsulero capsules are made from plant-based materials that are industrial and home compostable. This means you can often place them in your local council food waste bin (check your local regulations). If you must throw them in general waste, they will break down significantly faster than plastic or aluminium alternatives, leaving no microplastics behind.

For the best flavor profile, we recommend brewing our capsules as an Espresso (40ml) or a Ristretto (25ml). If you prefer a larger cup, try adding hot water to an espresso (an Americano) rather than running the machine for a long time (Lungo), which can over-extract the coffee and make it taste bitter.
