Pink Elephant – Apple & Honey Light Roast Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Pink Elephant – Apple & Honey Light Roast Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Pink Elephant – a bright, baked-apple & honey light roast from Burundi in a Nespresso® compatible capsule
Legend has it that at dawn a rare Pink Elephant wanders through the coffee farms of Burundi, picking up its rosy glow by gently brushing the coffee shrubs with its trunk. Real or imagined – once you’ve tasted it, you won’t forget it. Pink Elephant is the first Burundian coffee from Samurai Shoelace: a true light-roasted African coffee with baked-apple and honey notes, lively acidity and a long finish. Like every coffee in our range, Pink Elephant is a genuine specialty coffee – single-origin, traceable and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a Nespresso® compatible capsule.
Why you’ll love Pink Elephant
A limited Curiosity Series coffee
Pink Elephant is part of the Samurai Shoelace Curiosity Series – small, limited lots chosen because they surprised the roasters. Only a limited amount of this coffee was produced, and once this batch is gone, it won’t be back.
Fruity, sweet and lively
Expect the bright, characterful cup that Africa’s natural coffees are loved for: baked apple and honey sweetness, lively acidity and a long, chocolatey finish. It’s light and lively without ever feeling sharp.
Light roast, full caffeine
Don’t let the light roast fool you – Pink Elephant has no less caffeine than the other coffees in our range, so you get the same lift with a brighter, fruitier taste.
Lovely black or with milk
As a black espresso, brew it on the short button (25–30 ml) for a pleasantly light cup with a long, chocolatey aftertaste. It also makes an ideal morning milk coffee – try one part coffee to two parts milk, or two capsules with double milk for a proper start to the day. Taste it without sugar first – it’s naturally sweet.
A softer long-coffee trick
Fancy something different? Brew a short espresso, take the capsule out, then run hot water from the machine into the same cup. You’ll get a softer, almost tea-like long coffee with the same flavour.
A coffee that changes lives
Pink Elephant comes from the hills of the Kiyonza region in northern Burundi, home to the newly built Kiyonza washing station. Local farmers used to rely on occasional travelling buyers, with no steady partner or secure market. The new station changed that: farmers now deliver freshly picked, ripe cherries straight after harvest, receive year-round support from the station’s experts and can raise new seedlings in its nursery – and you can taste the difference in the cup.

Hola Señor – Sweet & Smoky Mexican Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,95 EUR
Unit price perHola Señor – Sweet & Smoky Mexican Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,95 EUR
Unit price perHola Señor – sweet & smoky Mexican specialty coffee in a Nespresso® compatible capsule
Hola Señor is the first Mexican coffee in the Samurai Shoelace story – and like all the best stories, it arrived completely unexpectedly. Grown around the historic coffee town of Huatusco in Veracruz, it is low in acidity, naturally sweet and carries a surprising hint of smokiness that nods to the flavours of Mexican cuisine. Pull it as an intense espresso or let it meet milk – either way, it’s a cup with a story to tell. Like every coffee in our range, Hola Señor is a genuine specialty coffee – single-origin, traceable and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a Nespresso® compatible capsule.
Why you’ll love Hola Señor
A story in every cup
Part of the Samurai Shoelace Curiosity Series, Hola Señor was born in a dusty little bar somewhere between Saltillo and Torreón, where a mariachi in a pink dress asked one simple question: “¿Le interesa el café mexicano?” The answer was “Sí” – and the fiesta that followed is exactly the kind of surprise waiting in this cup.
Sweet, perfumed and gently smoky
Hola Señor is less acidic than many specialty coffees, leaning instead into sweet, aromatic and perfumed notes. Then comes the twist: a soft, surprising smokiness that makes it unlike anything else in our range.
Made for espresso and milk
As a black espresso it’s sweet and fragrant, with no sharp acidity at all. With milk it really comes into its own – ideal for a cortado and lovely as a latte, where it stays sweet and pleasant even with plenty of milk.
A softer long-coffee trick
Fancy something different? Brew a short espresso, take the capsule out, then run hot water from the machine into the same cup. You’ll get a softer, almost tea-like long coffee with the same sweet flavour.
Nothing but coffee
Each capsule contains only freshly ground, roasted coffee – nothing else. That makes Hola Señor naturally gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free and additive-free.
Taste & aroma profile
- Roast level: Medium to dark – developed for sweetness and a subtle smokiness
- Acidity: Low
- Flavour notes: Sweet, aromatic and perfumed, with a surprising smokiness
- Character: Sweet, smooth and not at all sharp
- Best enjoyed: As an intense espresso, a cortado or latte, or as a softer long coffee
Origin & sourcing
- Origin: Mexico – Huatusco, Veracruz

The Miners Colombia Guava Banana – Guava & Pomegranate Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€10,30 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Colombia Guava Banana – Guava & Pomegranate Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€10,30 EUR
Unit price perColombia Guava Banana – a tropical specialty coffee that came back in capsules
Guava Banana became a classic in The Miners’ lineup over the years, and it now returns in a compostable Nespresso® capsule. Grown at El Vergel Estate in Tolima, Colombia, and fermented anaerobically under temperature control, it pours a vibrant, clean and complex cup led by fresh guava and pomegranate with a cocoa finish. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Guava Banana is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Guava Banana
A returning classic, now in capsules
Guava Banana has been a favourite in The Miners’ range for years, first as whole beans in their cafés across Europe. It is now available in the format most of us brew at home – a single capsule, no grinder, no scales, no guesswork.
Vibrant, clean and complex
This is not a flat, one-note coffee. The cup is layered: fresh guava up front, bright pomegranate through the middle, and a soft cocoa finish that keeps everything grounded. Clean, juicy and easy to keep drinking.
48–60 hours of temperature-controlled fermentation
The cherries go through an anoxic natural process – anaerobic fermentation for 48 to 60 hours with careful temperature control – and are then stabilised for 45 days. That slow, deliberate work is exactly where the tropical fruit intensity in the cup comes from.
For lovers of high acidity and tropical fruit
If you enjoy higher acidity and tropical fruit tones, this is your coffee. It is an ideal choice for drinkers who want their espresso to taste like fruit rather than toast – and a great way to show someone what modern Colombian specialty coffee can do.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: fresh guava, pomegranate, cocoa finish
- Acidity: high
- Bitterness: low to medium
- Sweetness: medium
- Character: vibrant, clean and complex

The Miners Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura – Nectarine & Floral Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,70 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura – Nectarine & Floral Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,70 EUR
Unit price perEthiopia Mohammed Aba Nura – nectarine, florals and effortless elegance in a specialty coffee capsule
Grown at 2,173 metres in the Jimma zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia region, this natural-processed lot comes from the farm of Mohammed Aba Nura and was roasted by The Miners, the Prague-born specialty roastery and café chain that has grown from a single 2019 opening into locations across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. They buy directly from farmers, and their Nespresso®-compatible capsules – developed through a crowdfunding campaign – are fully compostable. The cup is clean, elegant and floral, with ripe stone fruit and a soft biscuit sweetness that lingers. Like every coffee in our range, Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura
Clean, elegant and floral
This is Ethiopian natural processing at its most refined. Instead of the heavy fermented fruit some naturals lean into, the cup stays bright and composed – delicate florals lift the aroma, the body feels silky rather than syrupy, and the finish is remarkably clean. It is the kind of coffee that rewards slow sipping.
Nectarine and Lotus biscuit sweetness
Ripe nectarine leads, backed by soft floral notes and a caramelised, spiced sweetness that tastes uncannily like a Lotus biscuit. Acidity is medium and juicy, sweetness is high, and the two hold each other in balance from the first sip to the aftertaste.
Handpicked and slowly bed-dried
Cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, then dried whole on raised African beds for 15–20 days at altitude. Slow, even drying with constant turning is what preserves the clarity and floral character here – it is patient, labour-intensive work, and you can taste it.
A single farm, named and traceable
No anonymous regional blend. This coffee is traceable to one producer, Mohammed Aba Nura, on one farm in the Jimma zone, with the varieties Gibrinna 74110 and Serto 74112 named on the label. Direct sourcing means the story stays intact all the way to your cup.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: nectarine, florals, Lotus biscuit sweetness
- Acidity: medium – juicy and stone-fruit driven
- Sweetness: high
- Character: clean, elegant and floral
- Best enjoyed: as a short espresso for concentrated nectarine sweetness, or as a lungo to open up the floral aromatics
Origin & sourcing

Doubleshot Start – Sweet Creamy Espresso Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€6,57 EUR
Unit price perDoubleshot Start – Sweet Creamy Espresso Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€6,57 EUR
Unit price perDoubleshot Start – sweet, creamy specialty coffee for every day
Start is Doubleshot’s everyday espresso blend, built for Nespresso® Original machines and for mornings that need to be simple. It pours sweet and creamy, with roasted nuts, chocolate and caramel filling the cup, and it stays friendly whether you drink it black or stretch it with milk. Behind that easy character sit two carefully chosen origins – Brazil and Guatemala – roasted a touch darker on purpose so a capsule machine can pull everything out of them. Like every coffee in our range, Doubleshot Start is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Doubleshot Start
Sweet, creamy and easy to love
This is the cup you reach for without thinking. Roasted nuts and chocolate lead, caramel sweetness rounds everything off, and the body stays soft and creamy from first sip to last. There is no sharpness to work around and nothing to get used to – just a comfortable, well-built espresso that pleases experienced drinkers and newcomers alike.
Roasted for capsule machines
Doubleshot roasts Start slightly darker than their filter coffees, and that is a deliberate decision. A capsule machine has one shot at extraction, with fixed pressure and fixed timing, so the roast has to do the work in advance. The result is a coffee that gives up its rich, sweet flavours immediately, without the thinness that lighter roasts can show in a Nespresso® Original brewer.
Black, or with milk and sugar
Start is genuinely versatile. Drunk on its own it is a balanced, sweet espresso with a solid crema. Add milk and the chocolate and nut notes push straight through, which makes it an excellent base for a cappuccino, a flat white or a simple latte. It also takes sugar gracefully, if that is how you like your coffee – the sweetness deepens rather than turning flat.
Two origins, one balanced blend
Brazil brings the body, the nuttiness and the natural sweetness; Guatemala adds structure, cleanliness and a gentle lift that stops the cup from feeling heavy. Blended together they cover each other’s gaps, which is exactly what an everyday espresso needs to do.
Taste & aroma profile
- Roast level: medium to medium-dark, deliberately a shade darker for capsule extraction
- Intensity & body: medium-high intensity with a creamy, rounded body
- Flavour notes: roasted nuts, chocolate, caramel
- Finish: sweet and smooth, with a lingering cocoa-caramel warmth
- Best enjoyed: as a straight espresso, or with milk and sugar as a cappuccino, flat white or latte
Origin & sourcing
- Origins: a blend of two origins – Brazil and Guatemala
- Brazil: the Bobolink project, a family project in the Caconde region of São Paulo; Catuaí variety, dry (natural) method, dried on African beds or concrete patios
- Guatemala: the Hunapu blend from small producers in the Antigua region; Bourbon variety, washed method, dried in mechanical dryers and on concrete patios
- Roaster: Doubleshot – a specialty roaster known for precise sourcing and transparent origin information
Packaging, compatibility & storage
Doubleshot Start comes in capsules for Nespresso® Original machines. The capsules are made of a bioplastic containing 96% renewable substances – lignin, glucose and starch – and they are 100% biodegradable and compostable, both in industrial composting plants and in a home compost. That means the whole capsule can go back to the soil rather than into landfill. Store the capsules in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours, and keep the box closed so the aromas stay locked in until you brew.
Why order from Capsulero
Capsulero exists for people who refuse to trade quality for convenience. We work directly with roasters like Doubleshot, keep our range small and deliberate, and rotate stock quickly so what arrives at your door is fresh rather than warehoused. If you want specialty-grade coffee in a capsule, you will find every one of our blends and single origins in one place – with honest tasting notes, real origin details and packaging that respects the planet as much as the cup.
The Miners Colombia Bubble Gum – Blackberry & Plum Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€9,90 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Colombia Bubble Gum – Blackberry & Plum Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€9,90 EUR
Unit price perColombia Bubble Gum – the playful, fruit-forward specialty coffee from The Miners
Bright, juicy and unmistakably sweet, Colombia Bubble Gum is the kind of cup that makes people put down their phone and ask what they are drinking. Grown by the Restrepo family in Colombia’s Caldas region and processed with an unusual anoxic natural method, it delivers ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and fresh plums from a single small capsule. Roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, it is sourced directly from the farmers who grow it. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Bubble Gum is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Bubble Gum
Vibrant, fruity and very sweet
The Head Roaster at The Miners describes this lot as vibrant, fruity and very sweet – and that is exactly how it lands in the cup. Dark berry fruit arrives first, followed by a cocoa-rich body and a clean, plummy finish. It is expressive without being sharp, and the natural sweetness carries all the way through the aftertaste.
What anoxic natural processing does
This is not a standard natural coffee. After picking, the cherries spend 48 hours immersed in water in an oxygen-deprived environment, which kick-starts a controlled fermentation and builds the deep, jammy fruit character. The cherries are then sun-dried for 15–25 days on African raised beds, allowing slow, even moisture loss and full aromatic development. Finally, the coffee rests for 30 days of stabilisation in cherry before hulling, letting the flavours settle and integrate. That patience is what turns a good Colombian lot into something this distinctive.
One family, one farm
Every bean comes from Jardines Chambaku, the Restrepo family farm in Caldas, with producer Felipe Restrepo overseeing the harvest. The varieties are Caturra and Colombia. Single farm, single producer, full traceability – no blending, no anonymity.
For people who like experimental coffee
If your idea of a great cup leans towards fermentation-driven, fruit-led and a little unexpected, this one was made for you. It is a conversation-starter for anyone who enjoys experimental coffees, and a genuinely fun introduction for anyone curious about what modern processing can do.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: blackberry, dark chocolate, fresh plum
- Character: vibrant, fruity and very sweet
- Best enjoyed as: espresso, where the berry sweetness and cocoa depth concentrate beautifully
Origin & sourcing

€8,70 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Colombia Condor Decaf – Cocoa & Passion Fruit Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,70 EUR
Unit price perColombia Condor Decaf – specialty coffee with the caffeine gently removed
Roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, Colombia Condor Decaf comes from El Vergel Estate in Tolima, on the Cordillera Central of central-west Colombia. The Miners buy directly from farmers and developed their compostable Nespresso®-compatible capsules through a crowdfunding campaign – so what you get here is a cup of cocoa, passion fruit and orange with none of the caffeine and none of the compromises. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Condor Decaf is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Condor Decaf
Decaf with real fruit character
Most decaf tastes flat because the flavour leaves with the caffeine. This one doesn’t. The cup leads with cocoa, opens into passion fruit and finishes on orange – bright, juicy and unmistakably Colombian, with the kind of sweetness you expect from a well-processed lot rather than from added sugar.
Sugarcane decaffeination, done gently
The beans are first steamed to swell, then washed with sugarcane-derived extractors that carry the caffeine away. They are finally rinsed and dried with care so the aromatic compounds stay where they belong – in the bean. It is a natural, solvent-gentle route to decaf, and it is the reason this coffee still tastes like fruit rather than like cardboard.
48–60 hours of anaerobic fermentation
Before decaffeination, the cherries are processed naturally in combination with the sugarcane process and put through anaerobic fermentation for 48 to 60 hours. Drying then happens on raised beds and in mechanical driers. That long, oxygen-free ferment is where the passion-fruit intensity comes from.
Drink it any time of day
Low bitterness, low–medium acidity and medium–high sweetness make this an easy cup after dinner, late in the evening, or simply on a day when you have already had enough coffee – but not enough good coffee.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: cocoa, passion fruit, orange
- Acidity: low–medium
- Bitterness: low
- Sweetness: medium–high
- Best enjoyed: as an espresso or lungo, in the evening or whenever you want flavour without the caffeine; also holds up well with milk

The Miners Brazil Monteiro – Chocolate & Caramel Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,20 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Brazil Monteiro – Chocolate & Caramel Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,20 EUR
Unit price perBrazil Monteiro – sweet, chocolatey Brazilian specialty coffee in a compostable capsule
Grown in the Rio Pardo region, on the border between the Mogiana and southern Minas Gerais growing areas, Brazil Monteiro is everything people love about classic Brazilian coffee: caramel sweetness, wafer biscuit tones and the soft texture of chocolate ice cream. It is roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, who buy directly from the farmers they work with. Like every coffee in our range, Brazil Monteiro is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Brazil Monteiro
Sweet, low-acid and full-bodied
This is a cup built on sweetness rather than sharpness. Caramel and wafer biscuit lead, backed by nutty depth and a hint of stone fruit, while the low acidity and full body give it a rounded, creamy mouthfeel – think chocolate ice cream in liquid form. An easy everyday espresso that never turns aggressive.
Made for milk drinks
Because the sweetness is high and the acidity is gentle, Brazil Monteiro performs exceptionally well with milk. In a cappuccino, flat white or latte the caramel and chocolate notes push straight through the milk instead of disappearing behind it. Neat as an espresso it stays balanced and comforting.
A natural process done slowly
The cherries are processed natural, then dried with unusual patience: 12 days on the patios, followed by roughly 10 hours in mechanical dryers, and finally 15 days resting in wooden Tulhas silos so the moisture and the flavour stabilise. That slow, staged drying is what gives the coffee its harmonious, sweet and remarkably clean cup.
Roasted by The Miners
The “Monteiro Lobato” blend comes out of close collaboration between Ocafi and the producers around Fazenda Pinheiro. The Miners roast it to highlight sweetness and body, and pack it into compostable Nespresso®-style capsules that were developed through their own crowdfunding campaign – specialty coffee without the plastic and aluminium waste.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: caramel, wafer biscuit, nuts, a hint of stone fruit
- Acidity: low
- Body: full, with the texture of chocolate ice cream
- Sweetness: high and lingering
- Best enjoyed: as a straight espresso, and especially in milk drinks – cappuccino, flat white, latte
Origin & sourcing

- Producers: growers around Fazenda Pinheiro, in collaboration with Ocafi

Unit price perBean Candy – our sweetest light roast specialty coffee, in a Nespresso® compatible capsule
Bean Candy is the lightest roast in our range, crafted to keep every drop of natural sweetness intact. Because it’s roasted gently, it never turns bitter or burnt – instead it holds on to the bright original acids and the honeyed, candy-like flavours that give this coffee its name. Pop a capsule in your machine and enjoy a cup that’s soft, sweet and effortlessly drinkable. Like every coffee in our range, Bean Candy is a genuine specialty coffee – single-origin, traceable and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a Nespresso® compatible capsule.
Why you’ll love Bean Candy
A sweet, light character
Expect a pleasantly sweet cup with honey-like tones, milk-chocolate notes and a citrusy, fruity lift. The body is soft and the finish is balanced – a light roast that feels like a little treat rather than a wake-up slap.
Two coffees in one cup
Bean Candy has a delightful trick: as a straight espresso it’s bright and fruity, but add a little milk and it transforms into something almost like a snack – a soft, milk-chocolate-sweet drink. Sipped both ways it genuinely tastes like two different coffees, so one box gives you two experiences.
All natural, no additives
Every sweet, fruity note here comes from the coffee itself. We use natural flavours only – there are no artificial flavourings hiding in your cup, just carefully sourced single-origin beans.
Full caffeine, gentle taste
Don’t let the light, sweet character fool you. Despite how easy-going Bean Candy tastes, its caffeine content is similar to the other capsules in our range – so you get the same lift with a much gentler flavour.

Doubleshot Decaf – Fruity Elegant Decaf Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Doubleshot Decaf – Fruity Elegant Decaf Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Doubleshot Decaf – fruity, elegant decaf specialty coffee in a capsule
Decaf does not have to taste like a compromise. Doubleshot Decaf is a delicate, fruit-forward espresso built for the hours when you still want a proper cup but not the caffeine – late afternoon, after dinner, or any time you simply feel like a second one. It comes from a single family farm in Costa Rica, is roasted in Prague by Doubleshot, and lands in your machine as a soft, sweet shot with notes of caramel and dried apples. Like every coffee in our range, Doubleshot Decaf is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Doubleshot Decaf
Fruity and elegant, not flat
Most decaf capsules taste hollow because the green coffee behind them was never very good to begin with. This one starts from a carefully picked, honey-processed lot, so what you get in the cup is a gentle, elegant espresso with a clear sweetness of caramel and dried apple rather than dull, woody bitterness.
Made for afternoons and evenings
Doubleshot roasted this coffee specifically for the second half of the day. Pull it after lunch, serve it to guests after dinner, or enjoy an espresso late in the evening – the flavour experience stays, the caffeine does not keep you awake.
A single farm you can trace
The beans come from the Don Oscar farm in the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica, run by brothers Horacio and Alejandro Solis. They have been Doubleshot’s main Costa Rican supplier since 2012, which means a long-term relationship, consistent quality and a coffee whose origin you can actually name.
Compostable capsules
The capsules are made from a bioplastic containing 96% renewable substances such as lignin, glucose and starch. They are 100% biodegradable and compostable – in industrial composting plants and in a home compost heap alike – so a good espresso does not have to leave a pile of aluminium or plastic behind.
Taste & aroma profile
- Roast & character: espresso roast, fruity and elegant, soft and sweet rather than heavy
- Acidity: delicate and gentle, never sharp
- Body: medium, smooth and rounded with a creamy finish
- Flavour notes: caramel and dried apples
- Best enjoyed: as an afternoon or evening espresso – set the drink volume on your machine to roughly 20–30 g for a single espresso; it also works beautifully with milk

Unit price perDoubleshot Extra – juicy, exotic specialty coffee in a Nespresso® capsule
Some coffees are made to be comforting. Doubleshot Extra was made to be memorable. It is a playful, single-origin espresso built around juicy, intense flavours – ripe strawberries, forest berries and a soft sweep of vanilla – that arrive the moment the crema settles in the cup. Roasted in Prague by Doubleshot and sealed into a fully compostable capsule for Nespresso® Original machines, it turns a thirty-second brew into something genuinely exotic. Like every coffee in our range, Doubleshot Extra is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Doubleshot Extra
Juicy, exotic and genuinely different
This is not a background coffee. Extra leads with fruit – strawberry and forest berry rather than the cocoa-and-nut register most capsules settle into – carried by a delicate acidity that keeps everything bright instead of heavy. Vanilla rounds the finish. If you have ever wondered what a modern specialty espresso bar tastes like, this is that cup, without the queue.
What anaerobic natural processing does
The cherries are fermented in a sealed, oxygen-free environment before drying, with the fruit left on the bean throughout. Shutting out oxygen changes which microbes do the work, and they generate the intense berry esters and vanilla-like sweetness you taste in the cup. The lots are then slow-dried on raised African beds, so the sugars set gradually and evenly. It is a demanding, patience-heavy process – and it is exactly why Extra tastes the way it does.
A single farm in Panama
This is single-origin coffee in the strictest sense: one country, one farm, one variety. It comes from Finca Emporium in Panama, run by Graciano Cruz, a grower with a long reputation for meticulous processing work. The variety is Catuaí. Nothing is blended in to fill gaps, so what reaches your cup is the character of one place and one harvest.
Compostable capsules
The capsule is made from a bioplastic containing 96% renewable substances – lignin, glucose and starch. It is 100% biodegradable and compostable, and not only in industrial composting plants: it breaks down in a home compost too. Great coffee with no aluminium and no plastic left behind.
Taste & aroma profile
- Character: juicy, exotic and playful
- Acidity: delicate
- Mouthfeel: creamy
- Flavour notes: ripe strawberries, forest berries, vanilla
- Best enjoyed as: espresso
Origin & sourcing
- Origin: Panama
- Farm: Finca Emporium
- Producer: Graciano Cruz
- Variety: Catuaí
- Processing: anaerobic natural, slow-dried on African beds
- Roaster: Doubleshot
Packaging, compatibility & storage
Each capsule is made for Nespresso® Original capsule machines and drops straight into your usual routine – no adapter, no adjustment. The capsule body is a bioplastic containing 96% renewable substances (lignin, glucose and starch) and is 100% biodegradable and compostable in industrial composting plants as well as in home composts. Store the capsules somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and strong odours, and keep them sealed until you brew so the aromatics stay where they belong.
Why order from Capsulero
At Capsulero we only list coffees we would happily drink ourselves, which is why we work with roasters like Doubleshot rather than filling shelves with anonymous capsules. Every product page tells you the farm, the producer, the variety and the processing method, because that information is the difference between a commodity capsule and real specialty-grade coffee in a capsule. Order Doubleshot Extra today and taste what a single Panamanian farm can do.
