Pink Elephant – Apple & Honey Light Roast Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Pink Elephant – Apple & Honey Light Roast Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
Pink Elephant – a bright, baked-apple & honey light roast from Burundi in a Nespresso® compatible capsule
Legend has it that at dawn a rare Pink Elephant wanders through the coffee farms of Burundi, picking up its rosy glow by gently brushing the coffee shrubs with its trunk. Real or imagined – once you’ve tasted it, you won’t forget it. Pink Elephant is the first Burundian coffee from Samurai Shoelace: a true light-roasted African coffee with baked-apple and honey notes, lively acidity and a long finish. Like every coffee in our range, Pink Elephant is a genuine specialty coffee – single-origin, traceable and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a Nespresso® compatible capsule.
Why you’ll love Pink Elephant
A limited Curiosity Series coffee
Pink Elephant is part of the Samurai Shoelace Curiosity Series – small, limited lots chosen because they surprised the roasters. Only a limited amount of this coffee was produced, and once this batch is gone, it won’t be back.
Fruity, sweet and lively
Expect the bright, characterful cup that Africa’s natural coffees are loved for: baked apple and honey sweetness, lively acidity and a long, chocolatey finish. It’s light and lively without ever feeling sharp.
Light roast, full caffeine
Don’t let the light roast fool you – Pink Elephant has no less caffeine than the other coffees in our range, so you get the same lift with a brighter, fruitier taste.
Lovely black or with milk
As a black espresso, brew it on the short button (25–30 ml) for a pleasantly light cup with a long, chocolatey aftertaste. It also makes an ideal morning milk coffee – try one part coffee to two parts milk, or two capsules with double milk for a proper start to the day. Taste it without sugar first – it’s naturally sweet.
A softer long-coffee trick
Fancy something different? Brew a short espresso, take the capsule out, then run hot water from the machine into the same cup. You’ll get a softer, almost tea-like long coffee with the same flavour.
A coffee that changes lives
Pink Elephant comes from the hills of the Kiyonza region in northern Burundi, home to the newly built Kiyonza washing station. Local farmers used to rely on occasional travelling buyers, with no steady partner or secure market. The new station changed that: farmers now deliver freshly picked, ripe cherries straight after harvest, receive year-round support from the station’s experts and can raise new seedlings in its nursery – and you can taste the difference in the cup.

Unit price perThe Miners Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura – Nectarine & Floral Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,70 EUR
Unit price perEthiopia Mohammed Aba Nura – nectarine, florals and effortless elegance in a specialty coffee capsule
Grown at 2,173 metres in the Jimma zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia region, this natural-processed lot comes from the farm of Mohammed Aba Nura and was roasted by The Miners, the Prague-born specialty roastery and café chain that has grown from a single 2019 opening into locations across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. They buy directly from farmers, and their Nespresso®-compatible capsules – developed through a crowdfunding campaign – are fully compostable. The cup is clean, elegant and floral, with ripe stone fruit and a soft biscuit sweetness that lingers. Like every coffee in our range, Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Ethiopia Mohammed Aba Nura
Clean, elegant and floral
This is Ethiopian natural processing at its most refined. Instead of the heavy fermented fruit some naturals lean into, the cup stays bright and composed – delicate florals lift the aroma, the body feels silky rather than syrupy, and the finish is remarkably clean. It is the kind of coffee that rewards slow sipping.
Nectarine and Lotus biscuit sweetness
Ripe nectarine leads, backed by soft floral notes and a caramelised, spiced sweetness that tastes uncannily like a Lotus biscuit. Acidity is medium and juicy, sweetness is high, and the two hold each other in balance from the first sip to the aftertaste.
Handpicked and slowly bed-dried
Cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, then dried whole on raised African beds for 15–20 days at altitude. Slow, even drying with constant turning is what preserves the clarity and floral character here – it is patient, labour-intensive work, and you can taste it.
A single farm, named and traceable
No anonymous regional blend. This coffee is traceable to one producer, Mohammed Aba Nura, on one farm in the Jimma zone, with the varieties Gibrinna 74110 and Serto 74112 named on the label. Direct sourcing means the story stays intact all the way to your cup.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: nectarine, florals, Lotus biscuit sweetness
- Acidity: medium – juicy and stone-fruit driven
- Sweetness: high
- Character: clean, elegant and floral
- Best enjoyed: as a short espresso for concentrated nectarine sweetness, or as a lungo to open up the floral aromatics

Unit price perColombia Guava Banana – a tropical specialty coffee that came back in capsules
Guava Banana became a classic in The Miners’ lineup over the years, and it now returns in a compostable Nespresso® capsule. Grown at El Vergel Estate in Tolima, Colombia, and fermented anaerobically under temperature control, it pours a vibrant, clean and complex cup led by fresh guava and pomegranate with a cocoa finish. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Guava Banana is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Guava Banana
A returning classic, now in capsules
Guava Banana has been a favourite in The Miners’ range for years, first as whole beans in their cafés across Europe. It is now available in the format most of us brew at home – a single capsule, no grinder, no scales, no guesswork.
Vibrant, clean and complex
This is not a flat, one-note coffee. The cup is layered: fresh guava up front, bright pomegranate through the middle, and a soft cocoa finish that keeps everything grounded. Clean, juicy and easy to keep drinking.
48–60 hours of temperature-controlled fermentation
The cherries go through an anoxic natural process – anaerobic fermentation for 48 to 60 hours with careful temperature control – and are then stabilised for 45 days. That slow, deliberate work is exactly where the tropical fruit intensity in the cup comes from.
For lovers of high acidity and tropical fruit
If you enjoy higher acidity and tropical fruit tones, this is your coffee. It is an ideal choice for drinkers who want their espresso to taste like fruit rather than toast – and a great way to show someone what modern Colombian specialty coffee can do.

Why you’ll love Calm Thunder
Decaf you can’t tell is decaf
There are none of the flat, off-notes people expect from decaffeinated coffee. Calm Thunder is so clean and complete that trained baristas often can’t tell it’s decaf – just a smooth, satisfying cup from the first sip.
Chemical-free CO² decaffeination
We remove around 99% of the caffeine using supercritical carbon dioxide over 5–7 hours. It’s a chemical-free, organic and sustainable method that strips out the caffeine while leaving the coffee’s natural character and aromas fully intact.
Full-bodied and vibrant
Expect a full body, medium-to-low acidity and lively, vibrant flavours. Enjoyed black it’s intense and slightly more traditional, with a gentle sweetness and just enough acidity; it also adapts beautifully to milk.
Enjoy any time – even the evening
Because it’s virtually caffeine-free, Calm Thunder is the ideal after-dinner espresso or late-night indulgence – all the ritual and flavour, none of the buzz that keeps you awake.

Bright, juicy and unmistakably sweet, Colombia Bubble Gum is the kind of cup that makes people put down their phone and ask what they are drinking. Grown by the Restrepo family in Colombia’s Caldas region and processed with an unusual anoxic natural method, it delivers ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and fresh plums from a single small capsule. Roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, it is sourced directly from the farmers who grow it. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Bubble Gum is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Bubble Gum
Vibrant, fruity and very sweet
The Head Roaster at The Miners describes this lot as vibrant, fruity and very sweet – and that is exactly how it lands in the cup. Dark berry fruit arrives first, followed by a cocoa-rich body and a clean, plummy finish. It is expressive without being sharp, and the natural sweetness carries all the way through the aftertaste.
What anoxic natural processing does
This is not a standard natural coffee. After picking, the cherries spend 48 hours immersed in water in an oxygen-deprived environment, which kick-starts a controlled fermentation and builds the deep, jammy fruit character. The cherries are then sun-dried for 15–25 days on African raised beds, allowing slow, even moisture loss and full aromatic development. Finally, the coffee rests for 30 days of stabilisation in cherry before hulling, letting the flavours settle and integrate. That patience is what turns a good Colombian lot into something this distinctive.
One family, one farm
Every bean comes from Jardines Chambaku, the Restrepo family farm in Caldas, with producer Felipe Restrepo overseeing the harvest. The varieties are Caturra and Colombia. Single farm, single producer, full traceability – no blending, no anonymity.
For people who like experimental coffee
If your idea of a great cup leans towards fermentation-driven, fruit-led and a little unexpected, this one was made for you. It is a conversation-starter for anyone who enjoys experimental coffees, and a genuinely fun introduction for anyone curious about what modern processing can do.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: blackberry, dark chocolate, fresh plum
- Character: vibrant, fruity and very sweet

Unit price perColombia Condor Decaf – specialty coffee with the caffeine gently removed
Roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, Colombia Condor Decaf comes from El Vergel Estate in Tolima, on the Cordillera Central of central-west Colombia. The Miners buy directly from farmers and developed their compostable Nespresso®-compatible capsules through a crowdfunding campaign – so what you get here is a cup of cocoa, passion fruit and orange with none of the caffeine and none of the compromises. Like every coffee in our range, Colombia Condor Decaf is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Colombia Condor Decaf
Decaf with real fruit character
Most decaf tastes flat because the flavour leaves with the caffeine. This one doesn’t. The cup leads with cocoa, opens into passion fruit and finishes on orange – bright, juicy and unmistakably Colombian, with the kind of sweetness you expect from a well-processed lot rather than from added sugar.
Sugarcane decaffeination, done gently
The beans are first steamed to swell, then washed with sugarcane-derived extractors that carry the caffeine away. They are finally rinsed and dried with care so the aromatic compounds stay where they belong – in the bean. It is a natural, solvent-gentle route to decaf, and it is the reason this coffee still tastes like fruit rather than like cardboard.
48–60 hours of anaerobic fermentation
Before decaffeination, the cherries are processed naturally in combination with the sugarcane process and put through anaerobic fermentation for 48 to 60 hours. Drying then happens on raised beds and in mechanical driers. That long, oxygen-free ferment is where the passion-fruit intensity comes from.
Drink it any time of day
Low bitterness, low–medium acidity and medium–high sweetness make this an easy cup after dinner, late in the evening, or simply on a day when you have already had enough coffee – but not enough good coffee.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: cocoa, passion fruit, orange
- Acidity: low–medium
- Bitterness: low
- Sweetness: medium–high
- Best enjoyed: as an espresso or lungo, in the evening or whenever you want flavour without the caffeine; also holds up well with milk

The Miners Brazil Monteiro – Chocolate & Caramel Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,20 EUR
Unit price perThe Miners Brazil Monteiro – Chocolate & Caramel Nespresso® Specialty Coffee Capsules
€8,20 EUR
Unit price perBrazil Monteiro – sweet, chocolatey Brazilian specialty coffee in a compostable capsule
Grown in the Rio Pardo region, on the border between the Mogiana and southern Minas Gerais growing areas, Brazil Monteiro is everything people love about classic Brazilian coffee: caramel sweetness, wafer biscuit tones and the soft texture of chocolate ice cream. It is roasted by The Miners, a specialty roastery and café chain founded in Prague in 2019 and now present across Czechia, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, who buy directly from the farmers they work with. Like every coffee in our range, Brazil Monteiro is a genuine specialty coffee – traceable, carefully sourced and roasted for flavour, then sealed into a compostable capsule.
Why you’ll love Brazil Monteiro
Sweet, low-acid and full-bodied
This is a cup built on sweetness rather than sharpness. Caramel and wafer biscuit lead, backed by nutty depth and a hint of stone fruit, while the low acidity and full body give it a rounded, creamy mouthfeel – think chocolate ice cream in liquid form. An easy everyday espresso that never turns aggressive.
Made for milk drinks
Because the sweetness is high and the acidity is gentle, Brazil Monteiro performs exceptionally well with milk. In a cappuccino, flat white or latte the caramel and chocolate notes push straight through the milk instead of disappearing behind it. Neat as an espresso it stays balanced and comforting.
A natural process done slowly
The cherries are processed natural, then dried with unusual patience: 12 days on the patios, followed by roughly 10 hours in mechanical dryers, and finally 15 days resting in wooden Tulhas silos so the moisture and the flavour stabilise. That slow, staged drying is what gives the coffee its harmonious, sweet and remarkably clean cup.
Roasted by The Miners
The “Monteiro Lobato” blend comes out of close collaboration between Ocafi and the producers around Fazenda Pinheiro. The Miners roast it to highlight sweetness and body, and pack it into compostable Nespresso®-style capsules that were developed through their own crowdfunding campaign – specialty coffee without the plastic and aluminium waste.
Taste & aroma profile
- Flavour notes: caramel, wafer biscuit, nuts, a hint of stone fruit
- Acidity: low
- Body: full, with the texture of chocolate ice cream
- Sweetness: high and lingering
- Best enjoyed: as a straight espresso, and especially in milk drinks – cappuccino, flat white, latte

- Producers: growers around Fazenda Pinheiro, in collaboration with Ocafi
- Altitude: 800–900 masl
