Roger Chilcon, Peru – a clean, orange & chamomile specialty filter coffee in a single-serve drip bag

From the mountains of northern Peru comes a coffee that won over the roasters at Father’s with its purity and its story. Roger Chilcon does everything his own way – slowly, honestly and with deep respect for the land and the people around him. In the cup you’ll find orange, chamomile tea and cashew. Like everything in our range, Roger Chilcon is a genuine specialty coffee – 100% Arabica, single-origin and fully traceable – here freshly ground and packed into a drip bag, so you can make real filter coffee anywhere.

Why you’ll love Roger Chilcon

Filter coffee with no equipment

All you need is a mug and hot water – no scale, no grinder, no paper filters. Hang the drip bag on your cup, pour and enjoy a proper pour-over in a few minutes. It’s the ideal companion for travel, the office or a weekend at the cabin.

A coffee with a face behind it

Roger Chilcon Flores owns a small three-hectare farm in El Diamante, in the San José de Lourdes district. His family grows coffee together – each member has their own plot – but Roger looks after the whole process himself, from picking to drying. He grows Caturra and Pache on mountain slopes at around 2,000 metres above sea level.

Clean, light and delicate

A washed coffee roasted for filter brewing: expect a clean, transparent cup with juicy orange, a soft, tea-like chamomile character and a gentle, nutty cashew finish.

The Fathers

Father’s Coffee Roastery is a family-run specialty coffee roastery founded in Ostrava, Czech Republic, in 2018. They roast on an American Loring S35 hot-air roaster, which lets them use lighter profiles that keep fruity notes and gentle acidity alongside a sweet body, and every batch runs through an optical sorter and several quality checks. They buy only fresh-crop coffee, and since 2023 they have funded projects at origin, including a colour-sorting station and quality lab in Uganda and solar dryers in Colombia. Their Prague store in Bubeneč serves espresso, pour-over and tasting flights.

Our recommendations for the perfect brew

Flush the machine

Run water through the machine, before inserting the capsule, to ensure that you get the best flavour and not taste your old coffee.

Shake the capsule

This break up clumps and levels the coffee grounds inside, ensuring an even extraction and a better-tasting cup of coffee.

Brew your favourite coffee

Choose your coffee style(espresso or lungo) and enjoy your perfectly brewed cup of specialty capsule. Don't forget to recycle.
